She was born in Chueli settlement of Beryozovsky District of Ostyako-Vogulsky National Okrug. She graduated from primary school in the village of Polnovat. She was left without parents early (her father was taken to the front, her mother died early). In the mid-1950s, she moved with her family to the village of Mozyamy, then to the village of Polnovat. Before retirement, she worked at the collective farm named after M. V. Frunze at various jobs.
She took over her performing skills from the older generation. She was a connoisseur of the little-known genre of Khanty folklore "fairy tales-songs". Folklore texts recorded from Praskovya Nikolaevna were published in the Okrug national newspaper "Khanty Yasang", and were broadcast on the Okrug national radio.
