Grishkin Gennady Grigoryevich was born in the village of Tugiyany of Beryozovsky District of Tyumen Oblast in the large family of a fisherman and a hunter. He graduated from primary school in the village of Polnovat. Gennady Grigoryevich worked at various jobs. He was a very good storyteller and erudite person. He adopted fairy tales from their fellow villagers and parents.
