Biography
Kazym settlement, Beloyarsky District, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Yugra, Tyumen Oblast Biography: Valentina Nikolaevna was born in the village of Kazym in the Berezovsky (now Beloyarsky) District of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug of Tyumen Oblast on January 29, 1958. Everything that surrounded her since childhood breathed a special affection and careful to the Khanty language. Not every rural family understands the value of ancient legends, folk tales, interesting words and expressions of the native language. In the large family of her grandfather, Nikita Ivanovich Yernykhov, all the relatives were indefatigable collectors of Khanty folklore. Fortunately, all the aunts and uncles surrounding Valentina Nikolaevna since childhood, including her mother, Anna Nikitichna Remezanova (Yernykhova), have received secondary special education. Their grandfather never prevented this. On the contrary, he tried in every possible way to instill in his children a love for school, education, because he understood the need to educate the younger generation. His position and firmness in the issue of education of his children caused all of them, without exception, to learn at a good level the basic knowledge that is instilled in school, and then in secondary special educational institutions. One of the younger sons of Nikita Ivanovich, Iosif Nikitich, was also associated with literary activity – in the late 1950s he worked as a correspondent in the newspaper "Lenin Pant Khuvat" and wrote poems in the Khanty language. In the family of Nikita Ivanovich, they collected fairy tales, riddles, wrote down words in notebooks, in student notebooks, and sometimes just on wrapping paper. As the old-timers recall of the Kazym settlement, the grandfather, Nikita Ivanovich Yernykhov, was also an excellent connoisseur of Khanty folklore, a performer of sacred songs of the ritual complex "Bear’s Holiday". In the long winter evenings he told his beloved granddaughter the legends about Imi-Khily, the cultural hero of the Khanty people. After graduation from the Kazym eight-year school, young Valentina Nikolaevna went to Khanty-Mansiysk in Khanty-Mansiysk Pedagogical College. According to her, this College gave her the basic knowledge necessary for any novice teacher. With warmth, Valentina Nikolaevna remembers all her teachers of the Pedagogical College: Galina Nikolaevna Shalamova, Alexander Nikolaevich Rebrin, and Evdokia Andreevna Nemysova. It should be noted that during her studies, Valentina Nikolaevna became interested in athletics: running at medium distances (from 800 to 3,000 m) and long jumps. In connection with this hobby, she won prizes at town competitions in running and long jump. After graduating from the Pedagogical College, in 1977, Valentina Nikolaevna studied in the Leningrad State Pedagogical Institute named after A. I. Herzen. She successfully studied at the Faculty of Philology and defended her thesis on the theme "Toponymy of the Kazym River basin". The first work of the future researcher (Khanty-Russian and Russian-Khanty Dictionary) was published in Leningrad in 1983 in collaboration with E. A. Nemysova and S. P. Moldanova. Later, in 1988, this work was revised, supplemented and re-published by the same composition of authors. After graduation from the institute in 1983, Valentina Nikolaevna was hired at the Institute of Teacher Improvement (Khanty-Mansiysk) as a methodologist of national schools. Work with teachers of the native language of schools in Khanty-Mansiysk District inspired Valentina Nikolaevna to enter graduate school to get a postgraduate education. She noted that the teaching of the Khanty language in the schools of the District was not at the proper level. The problem was the insufficient study of the theory of the Khanty language by teachers, the complete lack of methodological materials. In 1985, Valentina Nikolaevna went in the Novosibirsk University, where she had a two year traineeship at the Department of General Linguistics. And in 1988, Valentina Nikolaevna entered the postgraduate school of the Institute of History, Philology and Philosophy of the Siberian branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor M. I. Cheremisina became the scientific supervisor of the novice scientist. In 1991, Valentina Nikolaevna was transferred to distance learning in graduate school and returned to work at the Khanty-Mansiysk Institute of Teacher Improvement as a senior lecturer at the Department of National Systems education. In the same year, this institution was transformed into the Institute for Advanced Training of Teachers, and Valentina Nikolaevna became an Associate Professor of the Department of National Education Systems of this Institute. Opening of the Research Institute of Socio-Economic and National-Cultural Revival of the Ob-Ugric peoples and the desire to engage in research work was the reason for the transfer of Valentina Nikolaevna. She was accepted as a senior researcher of the Khanty language, literature, and folklore sector. Being engaged in her native language enthusiastically, Valentina Nikolaevna writes articles that are included in the collections of reports of International Finno-Ugric congresses and conferences. After the Congress in Debrecen (Hungary), her work "Structural and semantic types of a simple sentence of the Khanty language" appeared, which later served as the basis for a future dissertation, which she successfully defended in January 1992. In the early 1990s, in Khanty-Mansiysk, there was an idea to create a branch of the Nizhnevartovsk Pedagogical Institute in the Okrug center. And one of the initiators of this idea was Valentina Nikolaevna. So in the Okrug center in 1992, the philological faculty with the specialty "Russian language and literature, Khanty, Mansi languages and literature of the peoples of the North" was established. And, Valentina Nikolaevna became a deputy dean of the faculty. After the reorganization of the faculty, she continues to work at the Yugra State University, was elected head of the Department of Khanty Philology of the Institute of Language, History and Culture of the Peoples of Yugra. During her work at the Nizhnevartovsk Pedagogical Institute, she received the title of an Aassociate Professor, and in 2008 Valentina Nikolaevna was awarded the title of the "Honored Worker of Education of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Yugra". Then Valentina Nikolaevna was transferred to the Ob-Ugric Institute of Applied Researches and Development to the position of the Head of the laboratory for the creation of the educational and methodical complex. Later she became the Head of the Research Department of Khanty philology and Folklore. In 2011, Valentina Solovar completed her dissertation on the theme "The paradigm of a simple sentence in the Khanty language" and successfully defended it, receiving the degree of Doctor of Philological Sciences. Currently, Valentina Nikolaevna works as a Chief Researcher in this Department.
