Evdokiya Grigoryevna was born in the yurt Surei of Beryozovsky District of Ostyako-Vogulsky National Okrug in a large family of a fisherman and a hunter. She graduated from the primary school in the village of Polnovat. Early she began to work at the collective farm at different jobs. During the Great Patriotic War as part of a working team, in the winter she carried fish on horse carts to Khanty-Mansiysk. This work was very hard: at night they had to stop in the forest for rest, because there were no settlements. Repeatedly Evdokiya Grigoryevna been awarded by valuable gifts and diplomas. In 1949, after the consolidation of the collective farms she moved with his family in the village of Tugiyny. Folklore texts recorded by Evdokia Grigoryevna were published in the Okrug national newspaper "Khanty Yasang" and were broadcast on the national radio.
