Zoya Stepanovna was born on July 25, 1961 in the Pugory settlement, Beryozovsky District, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous-Okrug – Yugra. Zoya Stepanovna studied at the Tegi school. Later she graduated from the Khanty-Mansiysk National Pedagogical College in specialty "Primary school teacher". Then she graduated from the Institute of the Peoples of the North named after A. I. Herzen (Leningrad), and became a teacher of the Russian language and literature, the native (Khanty) language and literature of the peoples of the North. Zoya Stepanovna is the Candidate of Philological Sciences. To date, Zoya Stepanovna has more than 70 scientific publications and works. Zoya Stepanovna is known as an active public figure among the Khanty people, a linguist, a teacher of the native (Khanty) language.
