Yevgenia Petrovna was born in the village of Vanzevat in Beryozovsky District of Ostyako-Vogulsky National Okrug in the family of a fisherman and a hunter. She graduated from the seven-year school in Polnovat village. In 1950, during the years of the training program for indigenous personnel, she was sent to study in Khanty-Mansiysk for salesmen's courses. Then Yevgenia Petrovna worked in the village of Kushevat of Shuryshkar District as a seller. Then she moved with her family to live in her small homeland, in the village of Vanzevat. She worked here until her retirement. After retiring, Yevgenia Petrovna was the head of the circle of decorative and applied arts, taught children needlework. Folklore texts recorded from Yevgenia Petrovna were published in the Okrug national newspaper "Khanty Yasang", and were broadcast on the Okrug national radio.
