Biography
Vasiliy Alexandrovich was born in the Khurumpaul settlement, Beryozovsky District, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug of Tyumen Oblast. His mother was a Mansi by nationality, and his father was Russian. When Vasiliy Alexandrovich was ten years old, his mother got married. And their family moved to the Lombovozh settlement. Little Sasha could not live there with his mother and stepfather. He often ran away on foot to the Khurumpaul settlement, where his grandfather, Khozumov Gavril, lived. His grandfather was a craftsman. He made boats and many other things that were necessary in the household life at that time. After school, Vasiliy Alexandrovich served in the army in Ukraine. After the army he worked as a firefighter in Tiksi in Yakutia. In 1980, he came home to the Lombovozh, married Saynakhova Zoya Prokofyevna. They had five sons. Vasiliy Alexandrovich knew many legends, fairy tales, and anecdotes.
