Biography
Pavel Yanchevich was born on July 20, 1941. He was the third child in the family. He studied at the Varyogan Boarding School to the fourth grade, after it he studied at the Surgut Secondary School. After 8th grade, according to the appointment of the Komsomol of the District Committee he went to Khanty-Mansiysk Craft Forest College, which he graduated from in 1962. Together with the diploma, Pavel Yanchevich received a radio operator's certificate (he completed courses from the military enlistment office). He was drafted into the army. There Pavel Yanchevich became a member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU). After demobilization, he married and worked for some time in Chistoborsk. Then he transferred to Varyogansky commercial and hunting farming. He worked there for 25 years. In November 1990 he was elected as the Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the formation of the Varyogan Village Council. Pavel Yanchevich worked in the Executive Committee of the Nizhnevartovsk Council of People's Deputies. He was the Chairman of the Permanent Commission on Small Peoples of the North in the District administration. He headed commissions in the Okrug Council of People's Deputies. Since 1993, he worked in the administration of Nizhnevartovsky District. In 1994, Pavel Yanchevich retired. In 2000, he was elected to the District Association "Yugra Rescue". He performs tales and songs of the Forest Nenets.
