Biography
Vasiliy Andreevich was born in the family of a fisherman and a hunter. From the age of five, he was left an orphan and was raised by his uncle. Vasiliy Andreevich is one of the active propagandists of the Khanty national culture, a performer of Khanty songs, a fighter for Soviet power in Kazym. In 1932, in the upper reaches of the Kazym, Vasiliy Andreevich organized a red wagon train of 15 sleds with fish and berries, which he handed over to the first national Ostyako-Vogul Okrug Party Conference. In 1934 Vasiliy Andreevich became a member of the Board of Kazym General Store. In 1936, he graduated from the collective farm asset courses at the Kazym cultural base. Vasiliy Andreevich worked in the land survey expedition as a translator, an instructor of collective farm construction at the Kazym cultural base. From November 1938 until his tragic death in 1955, he was the chairman of the Kazym National Council. Vasiliy Andreevich performed personal songs of Kazym Khanty. Since 1934, he was elected a deputy of the Kazymsky, Mikoyanovsky and Beryozovsky District Councils. At the second District Congress of Soviets, Vasiliy Andreevich was elected a member of the Plenum of the Okrug Executive Committee, and several times was elected a deputy of the Okrug Council.
